With all the excitement in Ottawa, the Quebec election has really dropped from everyone's radar. Nevertheless, the vote is tomorrow and I am excited. I've already voted and I of course endorse the Parti Québécois. It is a social democratic party with a real vision for Quebec's future - which the other parties cannot claim.
ThreeHundredEight.com, my other site, has made some final projections. Here they are:
Seat Projection:
Parti libéral du Québec - 68 seats
Parti québécois - 53 seats
Action démocratique du Québec - 4 seats
Popular Vote Projection
Parti libéral du Québec - 42.90%
Parti québécois - 33.16%
Action démocratique du Québec - 15.46%
Québec solidaire - 3.98%
Parti vert du Québec - 3.83%
Other parties - 0.67%
A few things to watch tomorrow night will be who picks up the seats the ADQ has lost, and will the ADQ fall be as deep as some have projected? Will the ADQ pick up more than 4 seats? Will QS win in Mercier and Gouin? Will the PQ significantly increase its support from last year?
It will be fun to watch.
